Headteacher’s Welcome

A very warm welcome to Oulton Primary School.

I am extremely proud and privileged to be the
Head Teacher of Oulton Primary.

When walking around the classes, I am still inspired by the positive feel of the school; our pupils are settled, engaged and eager to share what they have been learning. Every day, it is a joy to see our motto, ‘Thinking for ourselves, caring for each other’, being fully embraced by all members of our school community.

Everyone is special at Oulton and talents are discovered and nurtured. An enthusiasm for learning is encouraged through an exciting and relevant curriculum.  In our school, learning is about trying your best and having a go; making mistakes and learning from them.  Children are taught that it’s right and safe to question; to “think for yourself” and do the right thing.

We provide a thoughtful and wide-ranging promotion of our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, and of their physical well-being, which enables them to thrive. We continue to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. This enables our pupils to “care for each other”

We know our children are happy at school, because we listen to what they say to us and involve them in planning to make school even better. Pupils, staff and governors are proud that our school is a happy and safe place to grow and achieve.
