Parents of Oulton Primary School have been working to support Oulton Primary School for over 10 years. Run by a group of volunteer parents, staff and friends, we hold events to help raise funds to support the schools initiatives and help to improve the facilities and activities they offer to pupils. 

 

POPS meet once a month to discuss ideas for events and fundraising that will appeal to both parents and children. The meetings are at 7pm and usually take place at School or at The Hare and Hounds pub in Rothwell.

We also have parents, staff and helpers who will help out at events.

Most recently we have raised -

 

* Valentines disco £365.64

* Cauliflower Cards £147.50

* Book Sale – £230

* Autumn Disco - £375

* Xmas Fair - £1358

* Summer Fair - £2120

 

 

And this has helped us to provide:

 

* Outdoor seating for Key Stage 2

* Samba Drums for Music

* Year 6 Leavers Disco

* Attendance Prizes, including the expansion of the Minion Family!

* Subsidising cost of school residential trips

* Subsidising of school outings e.g. trip to the theatre

 

Our regular events are our Summer and Christmas Fairs but we then add other events throughout the academic year including disco’s, magician and Book Sale.

In addition to our fundraising events POPS also support the school with raffles and tea/coffee at events such as children's performances
