Catering Leeds are committed to providing suitable meals for all children. Please ensure that your child’s allergy or dietary requirements have been registered at the school office. If you have any questions about menus or queries relating to your child’s dietary requirements, please speak to the School Office.
Paying for School Meals
As a school, we firmly believe in the benefits of having a well-balanced meal at lunchtime. Children in Nursery and Years 3–6 have the choice of paying for a school meal or bringing in a packed lunch from home.
School meals cost £2.55 per day for children in Years 3 to 6 who are not in receipt of free school meals (all children in Reception and years 1 and 2 receive the government funded Universal Infant Free School Meals). Nursery meals are charged at £2.17 per day.
Parents of children in all years are required to set up an online account with School Money in order to order your child’s meal and to pay for meals (where applicable). Please contact the office for assistance with this.
Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals. Children in Nursery and Years 3–6 may be entitled to free school meals if you as their parent receive any of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit – if you applied after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

In January 2024, 8,435 pupils entitled to a free school meal missed out on a free hot, nutritious lunch.
Children are in school for 190 days every year, so think of the savings you could make by making sure they are signed up.
